A two-day webinar was held on 8-9 February 2021 entitled “Crop wild relative conservation in protected areas in the SADC region”. The Alliance of Bioversity and CIAT in collaboration with the Biodiversity and Protected Areas Management Programme (BIOPAMA) and University of Birmingham addressed what are crop wild relatives, what are their role and importance for food security and climate change resilience and how can they be conserved .
