The latest version of Google Earth is launched, and it has some interesting new features. Google has added 3D trees; mostly species found in major urban areas. However, a few biologically diverse forests are also covered, in East Africa, the Brazilian Amazon and coastal Mexico.
Earth Engine combines the world's satellite imagery with environmental data to create visualizations and analyses. According to Google this feature can be used to detect changes in tree cover, map trends and quantify differences to the earth's surface.
